Nacon announced a global partnership with Evo for the 2025 season, with RIG as official headset
Nacon said it would showcase its fight stick, controllers and headsets throughout the Evo Awards Show and the 2025 Evo event circuit.
Nacon announced on Feb 13, 2025 a global partnership with Evo, the fighting game tournament series, for the 2025 season. As an official partner, Nacon said it would showcase its fight stick, controllers and headsets throughout the Evo Awards Show and the 2025 Evo event circuit, and that its RIG brand would be the official headset of Evo 2025. Alain Falc, Nacon's chief executive, said the company's history in developing premium controllers and headsets made Evo a good fit, because Nacon understood the demanding needs of pro players who compete at an elite level.1,2,3,4,5
Nacon said the partnership would give the Fighting Game Community broadcast segments, branded commercial spots and live fan activations from the company. Nacon said competitors would have the chance to use the latest RIG headsets across thousands of stations at events including Evo Japan, Combo Breaker, Evo Las Vegas and Evo France. Mark Julio, Evo's director of business development, said Evo had always needed reliable gaming hardware and was excited to have Nacon join as an official partner.6,7,8
The release pointed to the Evo Awards on Feb 15 in Los Angeles, where Nacon was to present the Comeback of the Year category, with a live stream starting at 5 pm PT on Evo's Twitch and YouTube channels. Nacon also noted that its Daija Arcade Stick had received a Platinum Award from the outlet T3, which, the release said, called it the world's best PS5 fight stick. The release said Evo was established in 2002, after local arcade tournaments run by Tom and Tony Cannon were first held in 1996, and described it as owned and operated by RTS and Sony Interactive Entertainment. It described Nacon as a company of the BIGBEN Group, founded in 2019, that brought together 16 development studios, AA game publishing and a peripherals business, and said Nacon had acquired the RIG headset brand in 2020.9,10,11,12,13
