Nacon announced the R5 SPEAR PRO HS on Oct 8, 2025, a new gaming headset from RIG, the headset brand it owned. The company said the headset was officially licensed by PlayStation for PS4 and PS5 consoles. It gave a recommended retail price of $69.99, €79.99 or £69.99 at some retailers. In Europe, the company said, the headset would go on sale from the tenth of October on nacongaming.com, and in the US it would launch exclusively at Best Buy on the first of November.1^,2^,3^,4^,5^,6^,7^,8

RIG, Nacon said, was the official worldwide headset partner of Evo 2025 and would show the headset at Evo France in Nice from the tenth to the twelfth of October, where attendees could see it exclusively and be the first to buy it. The company said the headset was particularly suited to first-person shooters because of its 40 mm graphene speakers. Michael Jessup, Head of Product at RIG, said the aim was a headset designed for competitive players, and he cited harmonic distortion below 0.5%. The release also gave the flexible microphone as 6 mm with a range of 50 Hz to 15 kHz. A magnetic system let buyers swap modular plates and ear cushions, and the release said the plates were sold separately.9^,10^,11^,12^,13^,14^,15^,16

Nacon said it was created in 2019 within the BIGBEN group and brought together 16 development studios, game publishing and premium gaming accessories. It bought RIG in 2020. The release said other models would follow in the coming months, among them a version for PC, for which it noted that Sony Interactive Entertainment had not tested or approved PC compatibility.17^,18^,4^,19^,20
