Nacon said it was assessing the effects after majority shareholder Bigben announced it was unable to make a €43 million partial bond repayment
Nacon's release says Bigben Interactive, which held 56.72% of Nacon's share capital and 65.79% of its voting rights, was examining the possibility of procedures designed to facilitate restructuring its debt under the supervision of the commercial court.
Nacon said on Feb 17, 2026 that it was carefully assessing the consequences for its own activities of a press release issued the same day by its majority shareholder, Bigben Interactive (BBI). Nacon, which described itself as a BIGBEN group company with 16 development studios and AA video game publishing, said BBI held 56.72% of its share capital and 65.79% of its voting rights.1,2,3,4,5
According to Nacon's account of that release, BBI's pool of banks unexpectedly refused to respond to a drawdown notice, a formal request to draw funds, sent to it in connection with a partial repayment of 43 million euros to holders of bonds BBI issued. Nacon said BBI was therefore unable, at this stage, to make that repayment, and that BBI was examining the possibility of resorting to procedures designed to facilitate the restructuring of its debt under the supervision of the commercial court.6,7,8
Nacon said it was studying what the situation meant for its own activities and the financing associated with them. It said it would inform the market of any significant developments as soon as possible. The AMF, France's market regulator, lists the release as inside information, the label for news a listed company must publish promptly.9,10,11
The company, established in 2019, said it had 25 subsidiaries and a distribution network in 100 countries. In the year from Apr 1, 2024 to Mar 31, 2025, its annual report shows revenue of €167.95 million, against €167.71 million in the year from Apr 1, 2023 to Mar 31, 2024.
