LightOn said its sovereign AI was in production at about 15 French public institutions
Its release of Jun 15, 2026 gave a Val-de-Marne public digital operator and the Île-de-France regional council as examples.
LightOn said on Jun 15, 2026 that its sovereign AI infrastructure was deployed in production at about 15 French public institutions. The release is in French, and the AMF, the French financial markets authority, lists it as inside information, the label for what a listed company must make public because it may move its share price.1,2,3,4
The company said the institutions included ministries, regions, local authorities and public digital operators, and that they bought its solution to process their data inside their own environment. As an example it cited a contract signed in May with Infocom’94, a public digital operator that pools IT management for 26 local authorities in Val-de-Marne. Infocom’94, the company said, was using LightOn to automate IT support requests of levels 1 and 2, under a multi-year commitment, on a hybrid architecture where the data stayed strictly on-premise. The release also said the Île-de-France regional council deployed LightOn’s generative AI for a tool called Tech Assistant, which queries the council’s internal documentation in natural language. According to the release, the council aimed for a 30% cut in the volume of monthly IT tickets.5,6,7,8
LightOn listed shared IT support with chatbots, secure document assistants and the analysis of large confidential data sets as the main uses. On sovereignty, it said data stayed inside the institution through deployment on site, in a private cloud or in an environment fully isolated from the network. It also said its architecture guaranteed no vendor lock-in and stayed independent of the large non-European cloud providers, with open models and an auditable pipeline. As a French software vendor listed in Paris with its teams and support in France, it added, LightOn let institutions avoid entrusting their data or their technological dependence to providers subject to extraterritorial legislation.9,10,11,12,13,14
Igor Carron, named in the release as chief executive and co-founder, called the move to production a historic break and said sovereign AI was no longer a regulatory ideal or a subject of experimentation but the engine of the state’s modernization. LightOn described itself as the first European AI company listed on Euronext Growth; it was founded in Paris in 2016, and it develops an enterprise AI platform designed to let organizations connect advanced AI to their sensitive data.15,16
We hold this release only, as the issuer’s distributor filed it: three pages in French, with pictures and layout left out, and none of the documents it refers to. The text we hold gives no value for that contract and no revenue figure for LightOn.17,18
