Ubisoft announced on Jul 1, 2026 the appointment of Christoph Hartmann as general manager of Creative House 2, one of the Creative Houses at the center of what the release called Ubisoft's new operating model. The company filed the announcement with the AMF, France's financial markets regulator, under the AMF's inside-information label, the one for news that a listed company must publish as soon as it can because it may move its share price.123

According to the release, Creative House 2 brought together Ubisoft teams and brands focused on delivering challenging, competitive and cooperative battlefield-driven gameplay, among them the franchises Tom Clancy's The Division, Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell. March of Giants, a free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game that Ubisoft acquired in December and that the release called forthcoming, was also joining Creative House 2, the company said. As general manager, Hartmann would oversee Creative House 2's strategic direction and the long-term development of its portfolio. Massive Entertainment, a Ubisoft developer, is the developer of Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, and Ubisoft Paris of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint; Ubisoft publishes both.456789

The release said Hartmann brought more than two decades of experience building, scaling and operating global game organizations across development and publishing. He spent 20 years at Take-Two Interactive, the company said, where he co-founded 2K Games and served as president of that label until 2017. During that time, the release said, he led teams behind Borderlands, BioShock, Sid Meier's Civilization, NBA 2K and XCOM, and supported early releases in the Grand Theft Auto franchise. More recently, the release said, he served as vice president of Amazon Games, overseeing all game-related activities.10111213

Yves Guillemot, Ubisoft's co-founder and chief executive, said in the release that Hartmann was the kind of leader Creative House 2 needed, pointing to his proven ability to bring out the best in creative teams and build franchises that last. The release closed with a quotation that named the teams at March of Giants, Massive Entertainment, Ubisoft Montreal, Ubisoft Paris and Ubisoft Toronto and said Creative House 2 was giving them the structure, support and vision to go further.14157
