Vantage Studios, a Ubisoft company, announced on Jul 17, 2026 that Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced had sold more than 3 million copies in a week. The game was released on Jul 9, and the company said it started strong with 2 million copies sold on day 1. It said the new milestone confirmed that momentum. Ubisoft filed the announcement with the AMF, France's financial markets regulator, as inside information, the label for news that a listed company must publish as soon as it can because it may move its share price.1234

The release said critics received the game positively at launch and that player feedback had been increasingly positive since, with Steam user reviews improving to Very Positive. It credited responsive post-launch support for the stronger player sentiment, including quality-of-life updates, bug fixes and the announcement of a New Game+ mode that it called highly requested. The company described the mode as further enhancing replayability for the most dedicated players.56

Black Flag Resynced is a remake of Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag, which was first released in 2013. The release said Ubisoft Singapore led the work and that the game was rebuilt from the ground up on the latest Anvil engine. Ubisoft Bordeaux, Ubisoft Montpellier, Ubisoft Montréal, Ubisoft Québec and Ubisoft Singapore are listed as the game’s developers and Ubisoft as its publisher. A footnote in the release adds further co-development studios, among them Ubisoft Barcelona, Ubisoft Belgrade and Ubisoft Kyiv. The release said the game was available on Ubisoft+, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and, on PC, through the Ubisoft Store, Steam and the Epic Games Store.78910

The release described Vantage Studios, which made the announcement, as a Ubisoft company founded in 2025. It said the company's developers worked across studios in Barcelona, Montréal, Québec City, Saguenay, Sherbrooke and Sofia, as well as offices in Paris.111213
