Ubisoft said on Jul 23, 2026 that its net bookings for the three months ended Jun 30, 2026, the first quarter of fiscal 2026-27, were €255.8 million. That is down 9.2% from €281.6 million a year earlier and slightly above the company's target of around €250.0 million. Net bookings is a non-IFRS indicator: the company defines it as IFRS 15 sales adjusted for items such as the services component and financing impacts. Sales under IFRS 15 came to €268.2 million, down 13.7% from a year earlier.12345

Ubisoft said the result beat guidance because of a record quarter for the mobile game Invincible: Guarding the Globe, more than 2 years after its launch, while the rest of its catalog performed in line with expectations. Back-catalog bookings were €221 million, down 15%, which the company tied to large bookings from Assassin's Creed Shadows in the prior-year quarter, after that game's release on Mar 20, 2025. Mobile made up 19% of net bookings in the quarter, against 10% a year earlier.6789

Ubisoft said Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, released on Jul 9, 2026, had 3.5 million copies sold-in to that date, a count that exceeded its expectations for the year within the game's first 14 days. Ubisoft cited an 84 review score on OpenCritic and Metacritic, which it said made the game the highest-rated in the series since the original Black Flag in 2013, and a Steam peak of around 105k concurrent players, the highest on record for an Assassin's Creed title on the platform.101112

The release also reported continued cost reduction: in June, Ubisoft announced the closure of its Winnipeg and Belgrade studios, changes across its Global Publishing organization and a restructuring of its Ubisoft Barcelona studio. It said Christoph Hartmann, who spent 20 years at Take-Two Interactive, had been appointed General Manager of Creative House 2, whose portfolio includes Tom Clancy's The Division, Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell. March of Giants, a multiplayer online battle arena game Ubisoft acquired in December 2025, had also joined Creative House 2, the release said.1314151617

For the second quarter, Ubisoft said it expected net bookings of around €370 million. It confirmed its targets for fiscal 2026-27: net bookings down by a high single-digit percentage, a high single-digit negative non-IFRS operating margin and free cash flow consumption of no more than €500 million. The company said it had enough cash on hand for its near-term debt maturity and was reviewing financing options for the maturities ahead.181920
