AMD reported revenue of $13.38 billion for the quarter ended Sep 26, 2026, up 44.7% from $9.25 billion in the same quarter a year earlier. Revenue is what the company took in from selling. Operating income, what is left after the costs of running the business, was $2.83 billion, against $1.27 billion a year earlier, and net income, what is left after interest, tax and everything else, was $2.43 billion, against $1.24 billion. The figures come from AMD's 10-Q, the quarterly report that US-listed companies file, which it filed on Nov 4, 2026.12345678910

AMD reports its business in three segments, the parts of the company that it reports on their own: Data Center, Client and Gaming, and Embedded. The table shows each segment's revenue for the quarter, its change on the year and its share of the filing's total revenue.1112

Data Center brought in $8.55 billion, up 96.9% from $4.34 billion, and was 63.9% of the filing's total revenue. AMD's annual report describes the segment as primarily server-class processors, graphics processors and AI accelerators, among other chips. The quarterly report says the increase was primarily driven by strong demand for its EPYC processors and the launch of its Instinct graphics processors.131415161718

Client and Gaming, the segment that holds AMD's PC and game-related chips, fell 8.1% to $3.72 billion from $4.05 billion. AMD's annual report says the segment primarily includes processors and chipsets for desktops and notebooks, discrete graphics processors, and semi-custom products and development services. The quarterly report puts the decline primarily down to lower demand for semi-custom products. Within it, the line the filing labels Client rose 7.2% to $2.95 billion, while the line it labels Gaming fell 40.4% to $773 million from $1.3 billion. AMD's earnings release attributes the Gaming drop to lower semi-custom and graphics revenue.1920212223242526272829

Embedded revenue rose 29.4% to $1.11 billion from $857 million. AMD describes the segment as primarily embedded processors and adaptive chips, and the quarterly report says demand strengthened across end markets.3031323334

A margin is the part of revenue that is left as profit. About 21 cents of each dollar of revenue was left as operating income and 18 cents as net income, against 14 cents and 13 cents a year earlier. AMD's gross margin, the part of revenue left after the direct costs of making its products, was 54% against 52% a year earlier, which the filing says was primarily driven by a favorable product mix, including higher Data Center revenue. It says the rise in operating income was due to higher gross profit, partially offset by higher operating expenses.353637383940

Net income stayed below operating income because of items below the operating line. The filing puts other income (expense), net at an expense of $902 million, against income of $82 million a year earlier, and names a $1.1 billion change in the fair value of a warrant liability as the primary driver of the decrease. The notes say AMD issued warrants to two customers in October 2025 and February 2026, each entitling the holder to buy up to 160 million AMD shares at $0.01 a share, and that it recorded a noncash charge in the quarter for remeasuring the warrant liability. On the other side, AMD recorded an income tax benefit of $555 million for the quarter, which included a discrete benefit related to stock-based compensation of $772 million.57414243444546

Looking ahead, AMD said in its earnings release, filed Nov 3, 2026, that it expects fourth-quarter revenue of approximately $17 billion, plus or minus 3%.
