Games and related value-added services accounted for RMB 22.8 billion of the quarter’s net revenues, up 13.7% from RMB 20.1 billion a year earlier and down from RMB 24.0 billion in the preceding quarter. Online games were about 97.1% of that segment’s revenues. NetEase said the increase on the year came from higher revenues from Identity V, its newly launched games Where Winds Meet and Marvel Rivals, and certain licensed games, and that online games revenue fell from the preceding quarter because of certain self-developed and licensed games. NetEase is both developer and publisher of Marvel Rivals, which it listed among its recent highlights as No. 2 on Steam’s global top-sellers chart, with a Summer Party Event unveiled on July 17. Chief executive William Ding said product innovation, disciplined execution and deep community engagement were at the core of the company’s expansion.9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17
