Unity filed its annual report on Form 10-K, the yearly report a US-listed company files with the SEC, on Feb 11, 2026. It covers the year to Dec 31, 2025, when revenue was $1.85 billion, up 2.0% from $1.81 billion a year earlier. The net loss attributable to Unity's shareholders was $402.77 million, against $664.11 million in 2024. Diluted loss per share was $0.96, against $1.68 a year earlier.12345678910

Unity offers tools to develop, deploy and grow games across mobile, PC, console and extended reality. Its Grow Solutions side, which earns mainly from monetization and game publishing services, brought in $1.23 billion of revenue, up 2.4%. Create Solutions, built on subscriptions and related services, brought in $621.41 million of revenue, up 1.2%. The filing said total revenue rose mainly because Grow Solutions grew as Unity moved one of its ad networks, the Unity Ad Network, onto its new AI platform, Unity Vector, partly offset by declines at its other network, the IronSource Ad Network. In Create Solutions, subscription revenue rose while revenue from consumption services, the cloud and hosting services it provides to customers, fell. The filing tied that fall to its portfolio reset; the company began resetting its product and service offerings in the fourth quarter of 2023 to focus on its core businesses. Revenue from what it called the non-strategic portfolio, mostly in Create Solutions, was about $28 million in 2025 against about $90 million in 2024.111213141516171819202122

Sales and marketing expense fell on lower personnel costs after headcount cuts, and general and administrative expense fell on lower personnel-related costs and lease impairments, which the filing linked to lower employee separation costs and a smaller real estate footprint. The 2025 workforce reductions carried about $33 million of employee separation costs. The 2024 costs were about $214 million, after a plan to cut staff began in January 2024 and the company agreed to the departure of the founders of ironSource; the filing said they were largely driven by accelerating and modifying equity awards. Amortization pushed the other way: Unity shortened the useful lives of certain intangible assets, which it said mostly came from its acquisition of Wētā FX, and that added about $77 million of expense in 2025. The net loss also included a $42.7 million gain from repurchasing convertible debt in the first quarter of 2025, against a $61.4 million gain in the first quarter of 2024.23242526272829

For the year, net cash provided by operating activities was $423 million, against $316 million a year earlier. Free cash flow, a non-GAAP measure the company defined as that cash less purchases of property and equipment, was $403.9 million against $286.0 million. Its adjusted EBITDA, a non-GAAP measure that left out items such as stock-based compensation, amortization of acquired intangibles and restructuring, was $408.8 million against $389.8 million.303132

Matt Bromberg, Unity's president and chief executive at the time, said in the earnings release that Unity 6 adoption was at the fastest rate the company had seen.3334

In our records, the 10-K is held as its management discussion: the notes to its financial statements and its other exhibits are not held, so this article does not draw on them. Our records also keep one value for each period of an SEC filer, so they cannot show whether the year-earlier comparisons were restated.3536
