Unity Technologies reported revenue of $622.09 million for the quarter ended Sep 30, 2026, up 32.2% from $470.62 million a year earlier, and swung to an operating profit. Revenue is what the company took in from selling its products; operating income is what was left after the costs of running the business. Unity's operating income was $100.65 million, against an operating loss of $125.86 million a year earlier. Net income attributable to shareholders, what remained after interest, tax and everything else, was $121.23 million, against a net loss of $126.36 million. The figures come from its 10-Q, the quarterly report US-listed companies file with the SEC, filed on Nov 5, 2026.12345678

Unity reports its business in segments, parts of the company it accounts for on their own: Create Solutions, whose revenue the report says comes mainly from subscriptions, and Grow Solutions, whose revenue it says comes mainly from monetization solutions and game publishing services. Grow Solutions brought in $457.02 million, up 43.6% and 73.5% of the filing's total revenue; Create Solutions brought in $165.07 million, up 8.3%. Grow is where the growth came from. The company says it earns Grow Solutions revenue mainly from its monetization solutions, which let app publishers sell advertising inventory to advertisers, and from game publishing services. It ties the rise in total revenue mainly to growth in the Unity Ads Network driven by Unity Vector, partly offset by lower revenue from the ironSource Ads Network, which it announced in the first quarter of 2026 it would sunset. It also sold its Supersonic game publishing business on Aug 4, 2026 for net proceeds of $38.0 million.1117181920

Create Solutions grew more slowly. The company says its subscriptions give customers technologies to edit, run and iterate interactive experiences, and attributes the increase to higher subscription revenue, partly offset by lower cloud and hosting services revenue after its 2025 portfolio reset.921

By region, Greater China brought in $157.44 million, up 74.1%, the fastest-growing region in the filing's table. EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) was the largest at $184.72 million, up 24.8%, and the United States brought in $144.46 million, up 10.5%.222324252627

Operating income was about 16.2 cents of each dollar of revenue, against a loss of 26.7 cents a year earlier, and net income attributable to shareholders was about 19.5 cents of each dollar, against a loss of 26.9 cents. The company says cost of revenue fell mainly because amortization of intangible assets dropped after an impairment charge recognized in the first quarter of 2026. Net income came out above operating income. The company says interest and other income rose on higher interest income and foreign currency gains, and its tax line fell mainly on lower US tax expense after a change in its estimated annual effective tax rate. Net income including non-controlling interests, the other owners' share of subsidiaries, was $121.59 million. The sale of Supersonic produced a gain of $4.5 million.282930313233343536

In its release of Nov 5, Unity guided to fourth-quarter adjusted EBITDA of $290 million to $295 million and strategic revenue of $683 million to $691 million, plus $5 million of non-strategic revenue. Adjusted EBITDA is a measure of its own that leaves out items the company chooses, including stock-based compensation and impairment of intangible assets. Non-strategic revenue consists primarily of the ironSource Ads Network and Supersonic.
