Playtika's second-quarter 2025 revenue rose 11.0% to $696 million as net income fell 61.7%

Playtika credited its SuperPlay acquisition for the rise; sales and marketing expenses grew by $88.3 million and it revised its revenue guidance.

Revenue$696 million
Operating income$109.7 million
Net income$33.2 million
Quarter endedJun 30, 2025

Playtika, a mobile games developer, reported revenue of $696 million for the quarter ended Jun 30, 2025, up 11.0% from $627 million a year earlier. Operating income fell 22.0% to $109.7 million from $140.7 million, and net income fell to $33.2 million from $86.6 million, or $0.09 a diluted share against $0.23. The figures are in a Form 10-Q, the quarterly report a US-listed company files with the Securities and Exchange Commission, which Playtika filed on Aug 7, 2025.12345678910111213

Playtika said revenue rose $69.0 million mainly on incremental revenue from the SuperPlay acquisition in November 2024, which more than offset lower monetization, mostly in slot-themed games. Revenue of $696 million was below the $706 million of the quarter ended Mar 31, 2025. The release put Slotomania's revenue at $86.5 million, lower than in the previous quarter and a year earlier, and Bingo Blitz's at $160.2 million, up 2.9% year over year. Chief Executive Robert Antokol called the quarter resilient and said Disney Solitaire, which he called its latest launch, had reached a $100 million annual run-rate revenue threshold.141151617181920

Chief Financial Officer Craig Abrahams said the company was raising its long-term target for DTC, its own direct-to-consumer platforms as opposed to third-party ones, to 40% from 30%. DTC revenue was $175.9 million, against $173.7 million a year earlier, and Playtika said fees on DTC purchases were typically 3-4%, against a 30% platform fee on third-party platforms.21222324

In the quarter, sales and marketing expenses rose $88.3 million, largely on a bigger media buy and depreciation and amortization from the SuperPlay acquisition. General and administrative expenses fell $30.2 million, which Playtika tied to lower retention-plan expense and an adjustment to the SuperPlay earnout, the contingent payment owed for that acquisition. Net income fell $53.4 million; net interest and other expense was $64.6 million against $20.4 million, including a $33.8 million charge from foreign currency translation differences against a $4.8 million gain a year earlier.2526272829

Playtika's own measure, adjusted EBITDA, was $167.0 million for the quarter, against $191.0 million a year earlier. Its credit agreement defined it as net income before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, impairment charges, stock-based compensation, contingent consideration, acquisition expenses and certain other items, so it is not a figure under US accounting rules (GAAP). The release revised revenue guidance to between $2.70 and $2.75 billion and kept adjusted EBITDA between $715 and $740 million. At Jun 30, 2025, the notes carried $353.5 million as contingent payments for the SuperPlay and InnPlay acquisitions, $310.0 million of it for SuperPlay and $43.5 million for InnPlay, after fair value adjustments of $26.1 million since Jan 1, 2025 lowered it from $379.6 million.3031323334353637
