SourceSteam announcement
Notes that appeared in the Steam announcements of Deadlock on Jun 4, 2026, said the urn mechanics had been reworked. Delivering the urn started a king of the hill style capture point with a progress radius of 20m, in place of using melee to flip the urn back and forth. The urn runner got the normal 35% bonus bounty and stats immediately on the initial deposit, rather than at the end and only if the team won the urn, and the urn's overall bounty was reduced by 20% except for the trailing team.
